About The Position
This position is responsible for serving as a housing monitor. The role involves accepting and processing residents staying in the lodge/shelter overnight, receiving and receipting fees, monitoring resident activities to ensure safety, security, and compliance with house rules, maintaining accurate records and logs, and ensuring the lodge/shelter is kept neat and orderly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- One year experience performing security or social service work preferred OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities
- Monitors the activities of the lodge/shelter residents, ensuring safety and compliance with house rules.
- Checks the security of all windows and doors.
- Monitors and makes periodic rounds of the entire facility.
- Records any unique situations occurring on assigned shift.
- Checks clients into the lodge/shelter.
- Prepares and monitors client intake cards.
- Prepares resident roster and maintains resident property records as needed.
- Ensures that all rooms are in proper order before and after the arrival of residents.
- Checks fire equipment and ensures good working order.
