About The Position
This position is responsible for serving as a housing monitor. The role involves accepting and processing residents staying in the lodge/shelter overnight, receiving and receipting fees if applicable, and monitoring resident activities to ensure safety, security, and compliance with house rules. The position also requires maintaining accurate records and logs, and ensuring the lodge/shelter is kept neat and orderly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- One year experience performing security or social service work preferred OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Responsibilities
- Opens and closes the lodge/shelter doors at designated hours of operation, as needed.
- Monitors the activities of the lodge/shelter residents, ensuring safety and compliance with house rules.
- Checks the security of all windows and doors.
- Monitors and makes periodic rounds of the entire facility.
- Records any unique situations occurring on assigned shift.
- Checks clients into the lodge/shelter.
- Prepares and monitors client intake cards.
- Prepares resident roster and maintains resident property records as needed.
- Ensures that the lodge/shelter is maintained in neat and proper order.
