The Western Piedmont Council of Governments (WPCOG) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to serve as a Housing Inspector. This position plays an important role in supporting safe, sanitary, and quality housing opportunities within our communities through the administration of the Section 8 Housing Program. The Housing Inspector performs technical and administrative work involving inspections of rental properties participating in the Section 8 Housing Program. Responsibilities include conducting initial and follow-up inspections to ensure compliance with federal housing quality standards, maintaining inspection records, communicating with tenants and landlords, and assisting with housing program operations.
