About The Position

As a key member of the USTA Training Center Operations team, you will play an integral role in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment for our student-athletes. Your responsibilities will include enforcing facility policies and procedures, supervising athletes (ages 13–18) and monitoring activities within the Lodge during assigned hours, supporting and participating in off-court Life Skills programs, managing and overseeing guest access to the Player Development facility, serving as a resource to the Resident Assistant, building strong relationships with resident athletes, assisting with the upkeep and cleanliness of Player Development facilities, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of USTA vehicles, and safely transporting student-athletes, staff, and guests in USTA vehicles as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in facility operations or a related field preferred.
  • A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly organized and dependable, with a strong commitment to maintaining safety and enforcing policies.
  • Supportive and approachable, with the ability to assist student-athletes of diverse backgrounds and needs.
  • Comfortable and confident driving an 11-passenger van.
  • Holds a valid driver’s license and maintains a clean driving record.
  • Capable of performing light maintenance and ensuring facility cleanliness.
  • Proficient with digital tools and platforms, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce facility policies and procedures as directed by the Director of Operations, Player Development
  • Supervise athletes (ages 13–18) and monitor activities within the Lodge during assigned hours.
  • Support and participate in off-court Life Skills programs for both resident and non-resident athletes.
  • Manage and oversee guest access to the Player Development facility, including coordinating player and guest check-ins.
  • Serve as a resource to the Resident Assistant in fostering a positive, inclusive, and welcoming environment within the Training Center.
  • Build strong relationships with resident athletes and provide support for their personal and academic needs.
  • Assist with the upkeep and cleanliness of Player Development facilities, including light maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of USTA vehicles and complete required trip reports.
  • Safely transport student-athletes, staff, and guests in USTA vehicles as assigned.

Benefits

  • The expected hourly rate for this position is $17.00 per hour.
