About The Position

The Housing Advocate role with Bethlehem Haven focuses on Permanent Supportive Housing Services, assisting individuals in securing and maintaining stable housing. This includes helping with financial resources and benefits, providing supportive case management and follow-up care for those placed in housing programs, and collaborating closely with supervisors, colleagues, providers, and persons served. The role also involves program oversight, managing the demand and supply of services, implementing best practices, and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations. Pittsburgh Mercy is a community-based health and human services organization using person-centered care to treat vulnerable populations, working with families in safe and familiar settings as equal partners in care planning. Requirements

• Master’s degree in human services or related field and 1 year of related work experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field and 3 years’ related work experience.
• Understanding of the issues related to homelessness, mental health, and recovery from substance abuse disorder recovery.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Valid Drivers’ License
• Act 33/34/73 clearances
• Pre-employment drug screen
