About The Position
This production associate is responsible for cleaning, processing, and pricing all houseware merchandise. The role requires punctuality, dependability, and a professional, friendly, and cooperative attitude towards customers, donors, and colleagues. The associate must be able to multitask, make quick decisions, and work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include maintaining the housewares pile by removing trash and selecting saleable items, cleaning all saleable items, and keeping accurate records of processed buggies. The role also involves assisting donors, maintaining accurate donation records, and issuing donation receipts. Additionally, the associate will be responsible for taking trash to the correct container, ensuring safe work practices, maintaining good housekeeping standards, and keeping the work area clean and free of clutter, especially ensuring aisles and pathways to fire extinguishers and exits are clear. Reporting security and loss prevention concerns to the manager and following all policies and procedures are also key aspects of the role. Other duties may be assigned by the Manager.
Requirements
- Punctual and have dependable attendance.
- Exhibit professionalism and maintain a friendly, cooperative attitude toward customers, donors, and colleagues.
- Ability to multitask, make quick decisions, and work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to respond to telephones, written correspondence, and other auditory and visual stimulation.
- Ability to remain calm under stress and have the emotional and physical stamina to deal with a variety of stressful situations.
- Frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, and walk.
- Frequently lift and carry items up to 40 pounds.
- Occasionally climb stairs or inclined surfaces.
- Occasionally work outside during night hours and/or inclement weather.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning, processing, and pricing all houseware merchandise.
- Maintaining the housewares pile by removing trash and selecting saleable items.
- Cleaning all saleable items.
- Keeping an accurate record of processed buggies.
- Assisting donors as they arrive.
- Maintaining accurate records of donations and issuing completed donation receipts to all donors.
- Taking trash out to the correct container when needed.
- Ensuring work is conducted safely while maintaining good housekeeping standards.
- Keeping the work area well-maintained and clean.
- Ensuring all aisles and pathways to fire extinguishers and exits are clear of clutter.
- Reporting any security and loss prevention concerns to your manager.
- Following all policies and procedures.
- Performing other duties as instructed by the Manager.
