Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head to perform cleaning tasks, and work in confined spaces.
Perform tasks requiring sustained repetitive motion and/or fine motor skills.
Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.
Ability to speak English and interact with guests and other employees in a courteous, empathetic, and discreet manner.

Nice To Haves

Hotel houseman/housekeeping and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean floors, walls, surfaces, concrete, stairs, toilets, sinks, light fixtures, and other hotel areas using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.
Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
Assisting housekeeping and other departments with delivering items and assisting guests, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
Dust all furniture, fixtures, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly throughout all public areas, office, breakroom, laundry areas, etc.
Push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash.
Replenish supplies in public restrooms and employee break areas.
Sign for keys, retrieve, push cart to cleaning area and restock heavy cart.
Visually inspect work for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Ability to assist with light maintenance and perform other duties as assigned.
