About The Position

The Houseperson is responsible for stocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness in public areas and guest rooms, delivering guest requests, operating cleaning equipment, and performing routine maintenance. This role also involves assisting other departments, promoting positive guest and employee relations, and maintaining a safe work environment. The position requires adherence to company policies and attendance guidelines, and may involve assisting with other projects as directed. The Houseperson acts as a role model and provides exceptional customer service. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule. The Downstream Casino Resort adheres to all applicable Resolutions of the Quapaw Nation, and a Native American Preference policy applies.

Responsibilities

  • Stock central storage facility, work centers and guest room attendant carts with appropriate quantities of supplies.
  • Conduct inventories as appropriate.
  • Collect and inventory dirty linens removed from guest rooms and transport to designated areas for delivery to laundry vendors.
  • Receive and inventory clean linens from vendor.
  • Maintain cleanliness in common/public areas of the hotel and assist with heavy cleaning in guest rooms as needed.
  • Deliver special request items (pillows, refrigerators, roll-away beds, etc.) to guest rooms as needed.
  • Operate floor cleaning equipment such as carpet scrubbers and vacuums.
  • Visually inspect and perform routing service maintenance on light cleaning equipment.
  • Assist other departmental personnel as needed.
  • Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within areas of responsibility.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Inform supervisor as necessary.
  • Attend all necessary meetings.
  • Assist in other projects, as directed.
  • Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Downstream Casino Resort.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times.
  • Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.
