About The Position

This position involves responding promptly to guest and departmental requests, identifying and reporting maintenance issues, and posting caution signs. The Houseperson will contact other departments for urgent repairs, deliver guest requests, and set up furniture. Responsibilities also include removing items from hallways such as debris, room service trays, newspapers, linens, and trash, and cleaning, maintaining, and storing cleaning equipment. The role requires adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and proper storage of flammable materials. A professional appearance and confidentiality are expected. The Houseperson will welcome and assist guests according to company standards, anticipate needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation. Clear communication and teamwork are essential, along with supporting team goals and maintaining quality standards. Physical requirements include lifting objects up to 55 pounds without assistance and over 55 pounds with assistance, pushing and pulling a housekeeping cart, reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, visually inspecting equipment, manipulating objects, moving through confined spaces, climbing ladders, and standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods. The role also includes performing other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Requirements

  • Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to push and pull a loaded a housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects).
  • Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
  • Ability to move up and down a ladder.
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift.
  • Completion of safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.

Responsibilities
