About The Position

We are hiring a Houseperson to assist in our Housekeeping Department! Shift times: 8am to 4:30pm weekdays, 9am to 5:30pm weekends (required to work weekends). Schedule is subject to change based on business needs. Must have open availability.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months' housekeeping experience in full-service hotels.
  • Applications submitted without a resume will move forward.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
  • Move and arrange furniture as necessary including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing.
  • Collect and launder soiled linens and store linen supplies in linen closet.
  • Clean and stock restrooms with supplies.
  • Refurnish rooms with supplies, towels, etc. as required.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations when using chemicals and equipment.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment, including brooms, mops, vacuums, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
  • Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork; washes windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and regulations when using chemicals.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Make rounds through the halls each shift to ensure public areas are clean and tidy, taking care to remove or replace anything out of order.
  • Coordinate and help housekeeping with heavy lifting and priority requests.
  • Use your watchfulness to report missing or found articles and any sign of damage or needed repair.
  • Be graciously attentive to guests, answering questions and getting additional help when it’s needed.
