About The Position

THIS IS A FULL-TIME, SEASONAL POSITION FOR THE SUMMER 2026 SEASON (APRIL THROUGH THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER) Support the Team That Keeps Mission Point Resort Running Smoothly At Mission Point Resort—Mackinac Island’s only full-service, casually elegant resort—our Housekeeping Support Team plays an essential role in ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and guest comfort. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Houseman to assist with housekeeping operations, maintain public areas, and support room attendants with daily tasks. About the Role The Houseman provides critical behind-the-scenes support to the housekeeping department. Responsibilities include delivering linens and supplies, removing trash and soiled items, maintaining cleanliness in public spaces, assisting room attendants as needed, and reporting maintenance concerns promptly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in keeping spaces clean and guest-ready, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or facilities support experience preferred but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to complete tasks efficiently with limited supervision
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull housekeeping carts, and stay active throughout the shift
• Willingness to assist housekeepers, communicate effectively, and adapt to day-to-day needs
• Positive attitude, respect for guests and colleagues, and strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions clearly
• Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island during the season
