Houseman, Hotel (Full Time - 7pm-3:30am)
About The Position
This position typically starts at $16 per hour and works a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Team members begin accruing PTO starting on day one, and full-time employees are eligible for benefits after 90 days. Performing duties with the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment including carpet/floor care; maintaining the cleanliness of the guest room floors and storage closets as needed; picking up linen and garbage from housekeeping carts throughout the day; removing dirty linen from vacant rooms at a minimum of 10 rooms per Room Attendant per day; performing special projects assigned by supervisors; following safety and security procedures.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 yrs. of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Able to communicate via a radio.
- Communicates effectively and maintains positive working relationships with guests, coworkers, and management.
- Must pass the required background check.
- Report to work in a neat and clean uniform, with slip resistant shoes.
- Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential
- Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks under time constraints.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
- Physically mobile with reasonable accommodation.
- Able to lift and carry upwards of 5-15 pounds.
- Able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned area.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours at a time.
- Respond to visual and aural cues.
- Able to work flexible shifts.
- Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
- Must be able to manage several tasks.
- Ability to interact effectively with co-workers.
