About The Position

The Blennerhassett, a historic landmark hotel in downtown Parkersburg since 1889, is seeking friendly and motivated Housekeepers. Taylor Hospitality is looking for individuals who take pride in their work, are team-oriented, and want to contribute to making guest rooms feel special. This role is crucial in maintaining the hotel's reputation and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• Reliable team player who demonstrates punctuality and follow-through.
• Keen attention to detail, noticing small aspects that guests may observe.
• Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently without compromising quality.
• Friendly and even-tempered demeanor when interacting with guests and coworkers.
• Ability to follow written and spoken instructions, including guidelines for chemical safety.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred, but training will be provided for those without experience.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and refreshing assigned guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, taking out trash, and restocking amenities.
• Keeping the housekeeping cart stocked and organized throughout the shift.
• Receiving room assignments, keys, and priority requests from a supervisor at the start of each shift, and returning keys and supplies at the end.
• Assisting guests with requests and relaying any concerns to the appropriate personnel for prompt resolution.
• Reporting any damage, maintenance issues, lost-and-found items, or anything that appears out of the ordinary.
• Maintaining the neatness of hallways and assisting with daily projects and inventories.
• Collaborating with and supporting teammates when assistance is needed.
