This is a part-time Housekeeping position, eligible for benefits. The role involves filling in as needed for PTO and Leave of Absences. The pay range is $18.85 - $28.30. The position requires the ability to follow and understand oral and written instructions, work independently, and understand the physical layout of the facilities. The incumbent must perform tasks without disrupting the operations of doctors, nurses, patients, the public, and other staff. They should be able to set priorities and adhere to department policies and procedures. Basic computer skills and excellent customer service skills are also required. The role involves exposure to strong germicidal solutions, cleaning chemicals, temperature changes, soiled linen, and infectious waste (blood and body fluids). Familiarity with policies on handling infectious and hazardous waste is necessary. The incumbent will operate various cleaning equipment, vacuum cleaners, mopping equipment, buffer or burnisher, automatic scrubber, up to a six-foot stepladder, and other cleaning tools, as well as telephones, zone phones, and pagers.
