About The Position

The Environmental Services Department on the Manhattan campus is seeking part-time (22.5 hours per week) Housekeeping Workers to join their team. The work shift is 3pm to 11pm, including weekends and one weekday. Hired individuals are expected to be available for a 5-day orientation. Under general supervision, the Housekeeping Worker cleans and services building areas, moves furniture, equipment, and supplies within the facility.

Requirements

Experience in Strip, Wax and Buffering.

Responsibilities

Clean, disinfect, and sanitize all areas of the facility, including corridors, common areas, lobby, offices, restrooms, stairwells, and elevators.
Collect, clean, reline receptacles, and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
Clean, disinfect, and sanitize resident rooms and corridors, including high-touch areas, furniture, beds, restrooms, handrails, overbed tables, and commodes using proper cleaning and disinfection techniques and chemicals.
Work with various cleaning chemicals and solutions.
Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and return furniture to its correct placement.
Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Remove and transport Regulated Medical Waste in compliance with Infection Control and Blood-borne Pathogen Policies and Procedures.
Ensure assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, sanitary, and attractive manner.
Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using chemicals and equipment.
Ensure established Infection Control practices are maintained when performing all tasks.
