Requirements

  • Previous hotel housekeeping experience or formal housekeeping training preferred.
  • Experience in luxury hospitality, resorts, or upscale hotels is a plus.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, professional, and punctual.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional guest service.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to push housekeeping carts throughout the property.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and other schedules as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Perform evening turndown service in assigned guest rooms according to hotel standards.
  • Prepare beds for nighttime occupancy by turning down linens, arranging pillows, and creating a comfortable sleeping environment.
  • Refresh occupied guest rooms to ensure a clean, welcoming, and relaxing atmosphere.
  • Replenish guest amenities, drinking water, coffee and tea supplies, towels, and bathroom items.
  • Adjust lighting, close drapes, and set room ambiance to reflect the property's luxury service standards.
  • Remove room service trays, used glassware, trash, and other items as needed.
  • Empty wastebaskets and replace liners when necessary.
  • Tidy bathrooms, replace used amenities, and ensure all areas are clean and well-presented.
  • Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness, presentation, and adherence to resort standards.
  • Verify that room furnishings, fixtures, and equipment are in proper working condition.
  • Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged items, or housekeeping deficiencies promptly.
  • Deliver VIP amenities, welcome gifts, and special turndown enhancements as assigned.
  • Deliver additional linens, pillows, towels, and guest-requested items in a timely and professional manner.
  • Respond courteously to guest questions, requests, and preferences, escalating concerns when appropriate.
  • Accurately update room status information and communicate completed assignments to supervisors.
  • Follow established procedures for occupied rooms, vacant rooms, and "Do Not Disturb" rooms.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked housekeeping cart at all times.
  • Support public area cleaning and special housekeeping projects as needed.
  • Follow all chemical handling and safety procedures, including proper use of cleaning products, equipment, gloves, safety goggles, and other required personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment for guests and team members.
  • Follow all housekeeping, safety, sanitation, and security policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering, Spa, and Guest Services teams to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
  • Team members may occasionally assist with special projects, resort events, or other responsibilities as business needs require.
