About The Position

Forest Golf Club & Inn is seeking two (2) positive minded individuals to be part of our dynamic housekeeping team. Summary: The Housekeeping Team Lead manages the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure quality control and cleanliness of hotel rooms, hallways, patios, changerooms, washrooms, meeting rooms and general cleaning of the facility. In addition to maintaining inventory levels, you will be responsible for managing business relationships with our vendors, human resources training and scheduling of the housekeeping department based on forecasted rooms and budgets.

Requirements

  • Minimum education requirement, high school graduate.
  • Minimum two years of hotel housekeeping experience.
  • Must be a self starter, motivated and driven individual.
  • Reliable transportation and must be able to work weekends.
  • Experience in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

  • Post job vacancies via our social media platforms, job boards and through our partnerships with colleges and university cooperative programs.
  • Assist in vetting, recruiting and interviewing potential new hire candidates.
  • Maintain records of new hires and their training programs electronically through our online portals.
  • Ensure all onboarding and training for new hires is complete.
  • Maintain quality control of cleaning procedures within the building.
  • Schedule associates based on the seasonality of the business.
  • Order inventory / supplies as required for the maintenance of the building and hotel rooms.
  • Maintain mandatory health and safety boards within the housekeeping department as set by Provincial standards.
  • Attend and lead where possible monthly health and safety meetings.
  • Report any necessary repairs and maintenance requirements to the General Manager and Maintenance Department.
  • Visually inspect all rooms to ensure quality control standards are maintained.
  • Recommend upgrades as required to the facility.
  • Be a positive role model and motivator to all associates within the facility respecting our Core Values.
  • Must be available to work weekends and have flexible hours based on the seasonality of the business.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Participate in room cleaning and facility cleaning as required.
