About The Position

The Housekeeping Supervisor ensures that cleanliness standards are met throughout the hotel. The role assigns and inspects housekeeping work, supports room attendants with objective feedback, and trains associates in customer service and safety practices. The supervisor also performs housekeeping duties, monitors room status and hotel cleanliness, and coordinates needed maintenance repairs.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Schedule room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
• Inspect assigned rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, and linens are clean and in good repair.
• Provide room attendants with efficient and objective feedback to improve housekeeping efficiency and quality.
• Ensure associates have the proper supplies, equipment, uniforms, nametags, and designated PPE.
• Train associates on safety standards and consistently enforce those standards; identify and appropriately address unsafe behavior.
• Complete accident investigations and take steps to prevent future accidents.
• Perform necessary housekeeping duties, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning.
• Verify and update the status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
• Perform opening and closing shift duties.
• Notify the maintenance department of necessary repairs.
• Monitor cleanliness throughout the hotel, including the parking lot and exterior entrances.
• Work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
