The Housekeeping Supervisor is generally responsible for assisting the Executive Housekeeper in managing housekeeping operations. This includes overseeing cleanliness in rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to achieve and maintain the hotel’s high standards. The role involves training and developing housekeeping employees, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring adherence to performance standards. The supervisor inspects cleanliness levels across various hotel areas, assists with staff scheduling based on forecasted occupancy, and assigns daily tasks. They also manage inventory of linen and cleaning supplies, ensure timely communication of room status to Guest Services, and document maintenance requests for the Maintenance Department. Responsibilities include responding promptly and courteously to guest requests, ensuring guest satisfaction, and enforcing company policies and procedures. The supervisor conducts training on safety, security, department procedures, and service guidelines, and ensures compliance with all federal, provincial, and local laws, including Health and Safety, ESA, and Human Rights. The role may also include fulfilling Manager on Duty and Lobby Duty shifts.
