About The Position

HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, is a leader in providing fitness solutions. This role is for a part-time Housekeeping Supervisor in Cincinnati, Ohio. The supervisor will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by overseeing daily cleaning operations, supporting and training staff, and ensuring high standards are met. The schedule is 20 hours per week, Sunday-Wednesday 3-8pm or 4-9pm, with Friday or Saturday as needed. The supervisor will also perform cleaning and light maintenance on fitness equipment and ensure the free weight area is clean. They will communicate expectations, enforce sanitation policies, assist with hiring, and maintain supplies. This role involves washing, drying, folding, and replenishing towels, member garments, cleaning rags, and mop heads.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED or higher.
Must have supervisory experience.
OSHA compliant Adult First Aid/CPR/AED from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, National Safety Council, or American Safety & Health Institute within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Supervise work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure a clean, orderly, and attractive facility.
Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action.
Purchase housekeeping supplies and equipment, take periodic inventories, screen applicants, train new employees, and recommend dismissals.
Maintain and lead daily operations of the Housekeeping function for the entire facility to ensure compliance of HealthFitness client obligations.
Responsible for cleaning, sanitation and maintenance in locker rooms and restrooms.
Create and maintain the schedule for all housekeeping staff including handling absences and ensuring staffing level consistently meets requirements.
Fill in during staffing shortages as a substitute when needed.
Clean and perform light maintenance on both the cardiovascular and Cybex fitness equipment.
Ensure that the free weight area is clean and weights are returned to their racks.
Clearly communicate all necessary information and expectations from management to housekeeping staff.
Enforce all sanitation policies and procedures as applicable to the Housekeeping function to ensure safety for all facility staff and participants.
Assist Manager in recruiting and hiring of new Housekeeping staff as needed.
Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.
Maintain supplies and amenities throughout the club.
Wash, dry, fold, and replenish towels, member garments, cleaning rags, and mop heads.
