Requirements

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial services preferred
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and their safe usage
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial cleaning techniques including floor care and carpet cleaning
  • Familiarity with laundry operations and sanitation practices to ensure hygiene standards are met
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks successfully
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and courteously
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment safely

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, residential units, or common areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
  • Ensure all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Manage laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens with care and efficiency
  • Maintain floors through proper care techniques including carpet cleaning, floor polishing, and buffing to ensure a spotless appearance
  • Restock supplies in rooms or public areas, including toiletries, linens, and cleaning products
  • Assist with special cleaning projects as needed
  • Respond promptly to guest or resident requests for additional cleaning or amenities with a friendly attitude
  • Ensure all sanitation standards are met by adhering to health and safety regulations during cleaning procedures
  • Monitor cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management
  • Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures at all times
