About The Position
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of department personnel and for performing a wide variety of housekeeping functions. The ideal candidate must be dependable, organized, professional and motivated; must have good awareness of internal and external deadlines.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency as required
- Prior experience as a Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role
- Customer service experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Assist with leadership and direction for housekeeping and laundry staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness for both the guest rooms and public areas
- Recruit, train, motivate, and coach staff members with a friendly and nurturing style
- Inspect the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and public areas.
- Submit work orders to maintenance department
- Ensure that operational and safety procedures are followed
- Ensure housekeeping requests from guests or management are responded to in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner
- Perform the work of housekeeping and laundry personnel when necessary
- Perform other job related duties as assigned
