About The Position

The Housekeeping Supervisor at The Bethesdan Hotel is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping staff to ensure a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role involves supervising the cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards. The supervisor will also manage staff performance, handle guest requests, and implement emergency procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year hotel housekeeping supervisory/inspector experience.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Willingness to "pitch-in" and help co-workers; be a team player.
• Ability to communicate well with guests.
• Climbing, reading, standing, walking.
• Routinely lifting 25 lbs to 50 lbs.
• Ability to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the housekeeping staff, providing communication, training, coaching, counseling, and performance feedback.
• Supervise and inspect the cleaning of guest rooms, turndown service, public areas, and back of the house.
• Ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, health/sanitation standards, and regulations.
• Issue assignments to staff, reviewing special requests and areas of concentration.
• Issue supplies/goods to staff at the beginning of the shift to control inventory and expenses.
• Respond to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Log items into the Lost and Found and answer inquiries.
• Implement emergency training and procedures.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
