About The Position

The Housekeeping Lodge Supervisor conducts cleaning and inspections of guest units and maximizes the efforts of the entire department to ensure compliance with all standards of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, sanitation and productivity and efficiency set by the Resort. The Supervisor position is to ultimately ensure Suncadia Guests enter a lodging unit that is clean, sanitary, and welcoming. Each Lodge Supervisor will play a vital housekeeping role in ensuring all guests experience the natural beauty comfort and custom hand finished details that our guest rooms offer. They will work with business/department leadership and team members to ensure the effectiveness and overall success of the department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license required
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work full time hours up to 40 hours per week.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Support Housekeeping Leadership in the supervision of daily functions of the Housekeeping Department.
  • Leads ongoing housekeeping projects at the direction of Housekeeping Leadership.
  • Open respective departments, creating boards for the day’s arrivals, and working with the housekeeping coordinator to ensure the day is set up for success.
  • Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and order supplies as needed.
  • Perform unit inspections after cleaning units ensuring all meet cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance standards prior to guest occupancy.
  • Respond to guest requests and complaints regarding cleanliness and maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Make all corrections as needed in lodging units to bring them to required standards.
  • Update the housekeeping boards using hotSOS to report when units are complete, up to standards and ready for guest occupancy.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for staff and guests by enforcing safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Lead associate training, including follow-up training as needed regarding any recorded deficiencies.
  • General cleaning tasks (making beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, scrubbing floors, spotting carpets, cleaning fireplaces, vacuuming all living areas, sweeping, mopping, dusting, spot cleaning windows and checking outside trash areas)
  • Ensure the safe keeping of Guest’s Personal Property while working within their lodging unit by always showing Integrity and Honesty.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
