About The Position

The Housekeeping Staff member cleans common areas and maintains assigned work areas for community residents. The role emphasizes daily cleaning throughout the facility and includes maintaining bathrooms, furniture, blinds, and office areas when assigned. The employee may operate the laundry room and complete maintenance requests as needed, while reporting damage, deterioration, or supply shortages to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager. Staff must use approved cleaning agents, keep safety information for cleaning products current, and be willing to learn chemical and biohazard guidelines. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The role is based at Sweetwater in St. Augustine, Florida, and is listed as full-time or part-time, with a day shift and an hourly pay range of $20.00 to $20.00.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to bend and lift according to assigned duties, with a minimum lifting capability of 25 pounds.
• Ability to work on one's feet for extended periods.
• Discipline to follow safety guidelines.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to work the schedule with prompt and dependable attendance.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning of the entire facility, with daily emphasis on common areas.
• Complete maintenance requests when needed.
• Report deterioration or damage to the building and furnishings to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
• Operate the laundry room when needed.
• Report inadequate quantities of cleaning supplies and equipment to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
• Clean office areas when assigned.
• Dust and clean window blinds throughout the facility.
• Dust furniture, bookshelves, and other items in common areas.
• Use only approved cleaning agents and maintain up-to-date MSDS for all cleaning products.
• Keep common-area bathrooms clean.
• Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
