About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining the grounds, breakroom, and other areas of an industrial establishment in a clean and orderly condition. The role involves inspecting and maintaining grounds, cleaning and sanitizing various work areas, removing debris, and managing waste disposal. The job requires adherence to safety and security procedures, maintaining productivity, and adapting to changes in the work environment. The employee must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing for extended periods, and using hands and arms for various tasks. The work environment can involve exposure to wet conditions, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, chemicals, and extreme temperatures, with a usually loud noise level.

Requirements

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure-using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
• Lift 50 pounds 20 times and 50-100 pounds with a dolly 15 times during the shift
• Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift
• Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
• Talk and hear
• Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

• Inspects and maintains grounds.
• Cleans and sanitizes floors, offices, hallways, breakrooms, restrooms, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas.
• Cleans and removes cobwebs throughout the warehouses.
• Removes all standing water from the rooms using a squeegee.
• Picks up garbage and debris and places in waste containers.
• Empties waste containers.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
