This role involves overseeing the status of cleaned rooms, completing checklists to report cleanliness and condition of assigned areas, and completing required housekeeping paperwork. The position requires identifying room assignments and the type of cleaning needed, inspecting guest rooms after they have been cleaned by housekeepers, and responding promptly to requests from guests and other departments. It also includes entering guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering. Additionally, the role assists management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model. It requires adherence to all company and safety/security policies and procedures, reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, completing safety training and certifications, and properly storing flammable materials. Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, protecting company assets, and maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information are also key. The role involves welcoming and acknowledging guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guest service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and thanking guests with genuine appreciation. Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards, and identifying, recommending, developing, and implementing new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings are crucial. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships, supporting the team, and listening and responding appropriately to employee concerns are also important. The role requires speaking with others using clear and professional language. Physical requirements include moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 55 pounds without assistance and in excess of 55 pounds with assistance. The ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces is necessary. Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for an extended period across an entire work shift are required. Grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, is also part of the job. Entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems, and visually verifying and interpreting written documents are necessary. Other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors may also be performed.
