About The Position

St. Joseph Continuing Care Center in Monroe, Louisiana, is seeking housekeepers to support the daily functions of its facility. The primary purpose of the positions is to perform day-to-day departmental activities as directed by the Supervisor. • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of work experience in a nursing center preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, restrooms, public areas, floors, and office space according to proper protocols.
• Follow infection control protocols.
• Label or mark residents’ personal clothing and other articles for laundry with identifying information, such as a name, barcode, or reference number, as appropriate.
• Record production and inventory information according to facility policies, including pounds of laundry and loads.
• Attend department and staff meetings as directed or called.
• Perform assigned daily tasks and non-routine assignments as directed.
• Discard waste and trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles with plastic liners.
