About The Position

The Housekeeping Manager at Beacon Grand is a key leadership role responsible for maintaining the impeccable standards of cleanliness and aesthetic presentation that define our iconic property. This individual oversees the daily operations of the Housekeeping and Guest Services departments, ensuring that guest rooms, public spaces, and "behind-the-scenes" areas meet the highest luxury standards. The Housekeeping Manager is a hands-on leader who balances operational efficiency with a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction and associate engagement.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2–3 years of Housekeeping supervisory or management experience, preferably in a luxury or high-volume boutique hotel environment.
  • A visible leader who leads by example and is comfortable working alongside the team during peak periods to ensure excellence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish or English/Cantonese) is highly preferred to lead our diverse workforce.
  • An uncompromising eye for detail and a passion for maintaining a flawless guest environment.
  • Proficiency in Property Management Systems (e.g., Opera) and housekeeping-specific software (e.g., HotSOS).
  • Ability to be on one’s feet for extended periods and the ability to lift, push, or pull items as required by the demands of the operation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily activities of Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Guest Services staff to ensure all productivity and quality goals are met.
  • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms (VIP, arrivals, and stay-overs) and public areas to ensure the Beacon Grand’s luxury standards are consistently upheld.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels for linens, guest room amenities, and cleaning supplies; assist with monthly inventory counts and ordering.
  • Maintain accurate records of room status and coordinate closely with the Front Office to prioritize room readiness for arriving guests and VIPs.
  • Facilitate ongoing training for the team on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and brand service standards.
  • Work seamlessly with the Engineering team to report and track repairs, ensuring the historic property remains in peak condition.
  • Ensure the department operates in accordance with OSHA regulations, health department standards, and hotel safety policies.
  • Provide management coverage for Rooms Operations Managers during peak periods, or high-volume arrivals to ensure continuous leadership presence on the floor.
