Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years total experience in Rooms Division position with proven training and team building skills- Housekeeping Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; works well under pressure.
  • Results-oriented and able to make decisions and empower colleagues to ensure that they are exceeding guest expectations.
  • Must speak fluent English (Spanish also preferred).
  • Frequently standing up or moving within and outside of the facility
  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling
  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
  • Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing paperwork and management reports, interpreting results, giving and receiving instructions, and training
  • Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently.
  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, and organizational abilities are used often.

Responsibilities

  • Managing, coaching, and developing a team dedicated to exceptional housekeeping standards
  • Maintaining and ordering supplies and equipment – while minimizing waste – in support of our green initiatives
  • Assisting with weekly schedules for the department and processing payroll
  • Addressing special requests for guests, VIPs, repeat visitors and VIP Club members
  • Assisting with deep cleaning projects and occasionally assisting your team during busy periods
  • Address guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying proper departments as required
  • Educating all colleagues on the importance of remaining compliant with federal, state, and local laws and safety standards
