Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
  • Six months prior housekeeping management experience.
  • Read, write and speak English fluently.
  • The ability to communicate in Spanish is helpful.
  • Experience in scheduling needs.
  • Experience in efficient and timely cleaning of rooms.
  • No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating with housekeeping staff on rooms to be cleaned and special requests.
  • Inspecting guestrooms and public areas to ensure they meet standards of cleanliness.
  • Reporting all unsafe conditions.
  • Report room status' to Front Desk.
  • Follow up on guest complaints/requests regarding services.
  • Inspect guestrooms for maintenance or repairs.
  • Assist in training, coaching and development of team members.
  • Prepare and inspect VIP rooms.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings.
  • Assist in the supervision of the Housekeeping and janitorial staff.
  • Assist with the record keeping of lost and found and the administration of work orders.
  • Fulfilling the guests’ needs (i.e., ironing boards, early service, etc.).
  • Maintain work areas neat and organized.
  • Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Assist in the selection, training, supervision, direction, scheduling, and counseling of Housekeeping employees.
  • Daily opening of housekeeping.
  • Daily room assignments and distribution of keys.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
