About The Position

Transitions Healthcare Gettysburg is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeping & Laundry Aide to help maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents. The role provides housekeeping and laundry services in a skilled nursing community and supports resident well-being in a warm, resident-centered environment. Previous relevant experience is preferred but not required.

Previous housekeeping, environmental services, or laundry experience in a healthcare, long-term care, hospitality, or similar setting.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and other facility spaces according to established schedules and infection prevention guidelines.
Collect, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing, linens, towels, and facility laundry.
Operate laundry and housekeeping equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment throughout the facility.
Properly handle, store, and use cleaning chemicals and supplies in accordance with facility policies and safety standards.
Promptly report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or equipment issues.
Interact courteously and respectfully with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
Follow infection prevention, OSHA, and facility safety guidelines.
