Housekeeping/Laundry Aide
About The Position
Under the direction of the Facility Manager, responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry tasks in an efficient and cooperative manner, and with due consideration for the needs and comfort of the residents. Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care (“Yee Hong”) is one of the largest not-for-profit, culturally-appropriate seniors care organizations in Canada. Requirements
- Able to perform heavy lifting tasks.
- Visual acuity for inspecting linens and to ensure cleaning tasks are performed to standard.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be comfortable using computer/phone applications.
- Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Successful applicants must provide a recent satisfactory vulnerable sector police reference check and medical clearance certificate.
Nice To Haves
- Some experience in institutional housekeeping or laundry is an asset.
- Ability to communicate in Chinese an asset.
