Requirements

Ability to read labels and follow oral and written instructions in English.
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and to take appropriate action.
Ability to visually assess all aspects of facility.
Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures and to hear and respond to pages.
Ability to walk, reach, bend, lift, grasp, pull, stretch, stoop and have fine hand coordination.
Ability to lift and move furniture and heavy items weighing approximately 40 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a hospital or long term care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides quality housekeeping services, and a clean, orderly and safe environment for all facility residents and staff.
Cleans assigned areas of the facility, included but not limited to: resident rooms and bathrooms, on a scheduled basis to meet high standards of cleanliness, infection control, safety and hazardous communication program.
Plans efficient use of time, cooperates with all other staff and performs responsibilities with minimum disruption to the residents and staff.
Maintains a clean, orderly work area and department.
Assists in maintaining adequate supplies needed in the department.
