About The Position

CSP, Inc. is seeking a team member to clean and maintain a rest area in Laurel County. The position involves both indoor and outdoor work and working with others. Duties include cleaning the rest area and its grounds, buildings, lobbies, restrooms, vending areas, parking areas, and ramps. Cleaning tasks include sweeping and mopping floors; washing windows and glass doors; and cleaning commodes, urinals, sinks, and mirrors. Janitorial tasks include stocking toilet paper and soap, clearing litter and debris from sidewalks, parking lots, and lawn areas, and emptying trash containers. Available shifts are 1st shift (7 a.m.–3 p.m.), 2nd shift (3 p.m.–11 p.m.), and 3rd shift (11 p.m.–7 a.m.). Both part-time and full-time positions are available. The listed pay is $10.00 per hour.

Requirements

Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safety precautions.
Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with coworkers and others.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must pass a background check.
Ability to stand and walk on concrete and other hard surfaces, as well as walk on uneven ground such as lawns, fields, and gravel.
Ability to perform two-handed work; open and close doors; push and pull equipment and objects; lean, bend, kneel, and crouch.
Ability to work for up to two continuous hours indoors and outdoors, year-round and in all kinds of weather.

Responsibilities

Clean rest area grounds, buildings, lobbies, restrooms, vending areas, parking areas, and ramps.
Sweep and mop floors; wash windows and glass doors; and clean commodes, urinals, sinks, and mirrors.
Stock toilet paper and soap.
Keep sidewalks, parking lots, and lawn areas free of litter and debris.
Empty trash containers.
Determine whether surfaces meet required cleanliness standards and identify spills and other liquids on surfaces.
Detect nearby automobiles and other motor vehicles and avoid being struck by them.
