About The Position

Inventory attendants’ primary responsibility is to aid the success of the entire housekeeping department by ensuring that all housekeeping maid’s rooms are clean, tidy, and fully stocked for the following day. You should be methodical, thorough, have good attention to detail and be able to prioritize tasks in order of importance and complete them quickly and efficiently. Your job includes being a cleaner, store-man, stock-taker, and receiver and as such, you need to be self-motivated, fit, organized and able to multi-task.

Requirements

  • Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid B.C. driver’s license.
  • Must be in good physical condition as the job requires performing manual labour, being able to lift 35lbs, push and pull heavy objects for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must possess safe work habits with awareness of safe work procedures.
  • Able to multi-task, work well under stress and meet targeted deadlines.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable under changing conditions, priorities, and unexpected situations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain inventory levels in housekeeping storerooms throughout the resort.
  • Prepare, receive, and distribute linen deliveries.
  • Deliver and ensure any calls are prioritized in order of importance and responded to promptly.
  • Meet or exceed productivity thresholds relative to pre-determined time allotments for specific tasks.
  • Keep lines of communication open and be accountable for your time throughout the day.
  • Report all inventory deficiencies and damages to your supervisor immediately.
  • Confidently adapt from working in a team environment to working independently.
  • Participate in all Occupational Health and Safety standards set for the department.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisors or Manager.
