No matter what your job is, you play an essential role in providing warm and friendly hospitality to our guests! We’re hiring a Housekeeping Inspector to Live. Work. Explore. just one mile from the entrance to the iconic south rim of Grand Canyon National Park!

Requirements

  • Knowledge of rooms and hotel layout The Grand Hotel property, including general knowledge of available services with the ability to convey information to the guests.
  • Previous experience in a housekeeping or custodial position.
  • Constantly: Stand and walk
  • Frequently: Handle, reach outward & above shoulder, bend, lift/carry up to 20 lbs., and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Occasionally: Sit, climb, crawl, squat/kneel, lift/carry up to 100 lbs, and may work nonstandard hours.

Responsibilities

  • Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values.
  • Focus on always providing exceptional quality of service to guests while maximizing profitability, both in how work is conducted and quality of work.
  • Inspect daily, entire assigned section (guest rooms, linen rooms, hallways, grounds etc.) to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper condition to meet or exceed departmental and company standards.
  • Report condition and status of guest rooms to Front Desk in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Maintain and uphold all company policies, assist in the development of assigned employees through training and performance enhancement.
  • Report to Executive Housekeeper on the performance and/or behavior of the employees assigned to the inspector.
  • Assume duties of a GRA when necessary and able to effectively carry out duties of any assigned inspector shift.
  • Control keys, master, and guest room keys, and maintain security of all guest rooms, both occupied and unoccupied.
  • Enforce safety regulations, precautions, and information to provide a safe working atmosphere for self and employees assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with Executive Housekeeper, Front Desk personnel, Bell Attendant staff, maintenance and other departments and guests.
  • Participate in established programs designed to further professional growth and development.
  • Adhere to all prescribed Company, statutory/regulatory policies, and procedures such as safety, risk management and environmental policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
