About The Position

The Housekeeping Houseman assists housekeeping staff by supporting cleaning, organizing, and maintaining all residential, clubhouse, and common areas. This role involves frequent movement throughout the property to deliver linens, cleaning supplies, and trash, as well as performing physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and carrying up to 50 pounds. The Houseman is responsible for emptying trash bins, maintaining waste collection areas, and setting up/breaking down furniture and equipment for operations or special events. They also maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, and equipment, assist with laundry duties, and support team members with cleaning tasks in various areas. Identifying and reporting safety, maintenance, or supply issues, and following all safety and sanitation procedures are key responsibilities. The role requires maintaining a steady and efficient pace to complete assignments within expected timeframes, with additional duties as requested by leadership.

Requirements

Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
Professional appearance and demeanor while on duty.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Positive, team-oriented attitude and desire to support a high-quality environment for residents and guests.
Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment is a plus.
Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License and meet the driver safety policy requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist housekeeping staff by supporting cleaning, organizing, and maintaining all residential, clubhouse, and common areas.
Move throughout the property frequently to deliver linens, cleaning supplies, trash, and other materials.
Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
Empty trash bins, transport waste to designated areas, and maintain waste collection areas.
Set up and breakdown furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed for daily operations or special events.
Maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, and equipment in clean and organized condition.
Assist with laundry duties including transporting, folding, and restocking linens and supplies.
Support team members by performing cleaning tasks in common areas, restrooms, locker rooms, and kitchens as assigned.
Identify and report any safety, maintenance, or supply issues to supervisors.
Follow all safety and sanitation procedures when using cleaning products and equipment.
Maintain a steady and efficient pace to complete assignments within expected timeframes.
Additional duties as requested by Bluejack leadership.
