About The Position

Ensuring quality and clean facilities throughout the hotel, a houseman cleans corridors, strips guestrooms and various other duties. A houseman stocks closets with towels and linens, furnishings and any other supplies a guest may need or request.

Requirements

• A formal education is not required to become a houseman. We will provide on-the-job training.
• Hotel housemen must be able to work quickly and efficiently without invading the guests' privacy and should have a neat, clean appearance.
• Housemen must be able to bend, stoop, climb, and reach.
• Must be able to push up to 100 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Strips linens and trash from vacant rooms.
• Cleans and mops service areas and vending areas in assigned areas.
• Vacuums corridor carpets in assigned areas.
• Delivers linen to housekeeping closets and to guestroom attendants as needed.
• Stocks housekeeping closets with all essential items needed by housekeeping daily.
• Makes out work orders for needed repairs and replacement of items.
• Label and submit all lost and found items to the housekeeping supervisor.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.
