Requirements

  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
  • Ability to accurately report information.
  • Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures; hold subordinates accountable for same.
  • Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change.
  • Consistently maintains positive demeanor.
  • Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.
  • Conducts him/herself, acts and dresses professionally at all times.
  • Understands and communicates the Driftwood Mission.

  • Lifting and pulling of 40 pounds.
  • Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
  • Hearing, writing, typing.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain all corridors, vending areas, elevators and landings and service areas on guest room floors, ensuring hotel's standards of cleanliness.
  • Provide linen supplies for Room Attendants and stock floor closets.
  • Deliver and retrieve items requested by guests and leadership.
  • Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses as required during general cleaning.
  • Dust.
  • Polish metalwork and furniture.
  • Collect soiled linens for laundering.
  • Vacuum floors, clean bathrooms and common areas.
  • Supply own cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for shift.
  • Promptly and courteously deliver ironing boards, baby cribs, and roll-away beds to guest rooms as requested.
  • Remove debris, clean hallways and elevators.
  • Clean guest rooms.
  • Scrupulously adhere to all safety standards.
  • Restock shelves with paper supplies.
