About The Position

The Housekeeping Houseman plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the hotel or facility. This position ensures that all public areas, corridors, and service zones are kept tidy and well-stocked to support the housekeeping team’s efficiency. The Houseman assists with transporting linens, supplies, and equipment, facilitating smooth operations within the housekeeping department. By promptly addressing maintenance issues and responding to guest requests, the Houseman contributes to an exceptional guest experience. Ultimately, this role supports the housekeeping team in delivering a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests and staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely and efficiently.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning and safety procedures.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services.
  • Familiarity with hotel operations and guest service standards.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Transport linens, cleaning supplies, and equipment between storage areas and guest rooms or public spaces.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of public areas, corridors, and service zones throughout the property.
  • Assist housekeeping staff by replenishing carts and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or guest concerns to the appropriate department promptly.
  • Support the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms or event spaces as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations and guest satisfaction.
