About The Position

The House Attendant plays a key support role in delivering a clean, organized, and seamless guest experience throughout the hotel. This position ensures public areas and back-of-house spaces are maintained to the highest standards while supporting the housekeeping team with daily operations. The role contributes to overall guest satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficiency behind the scenes. Success in this role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. The House Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of public areas, guest corridors, and housekeeping support spaces while assisting Room Attendants with operational tasks. This role ensures linen supplies are stocked, guest requests are fulfilled promptly, and housekeeping operations run efficiently. This position is part of the Housekeeping team, reporting to the Housekeeping Management team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Strong work ethic, teamwork mindset, and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift, push, or carry items up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to operational needs
  • Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the United States at the time of application.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months of related experience is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain guest corridors, elevators, stairwells, and service areas to ensure a neat and presentable environment
  • Vacuum, dust, and ensure all surfaces such as mirrors, furniture, and floors are clean and mark-free
  • Stock linen rooms and storage areas with clean linens, supplies, and guest amenities
  • Transport and distribute clean linen to guest room floors
  • Remove trash and soiled linen from housekeeping areas
  • Assist Room Attendants with tasks such as moving furniture, turning mattresses, and handling heavy items
  • Pick up and deliver guest-requested items in a timely manner
  • Support other housekeeping roles, including Guest Room Attendant, Turndown Attendant, and Lobby Attendant during high volume periods
  • Maintain housekeeping carts and storage areas at par and in organized condition
  • Follow all safety, maintenance, and cleanliness standards
  • Communicate guest requests or concerns to management promptly
