About The Position

The Housekeeping & Facilities Employee is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment throughout IBCC facilities. This part-time temporary position performs routine housekeeping duties, assists with basic facility maintenance tasks, and supports clinic operations during periods of increased need, special projects, employee leave coverage, or staffing transitions.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow OSHA and infection control guidelines.
  • Ability to utilize appropriate PPE.
  • Ability to maintain HIPAA confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize exam rooms, offices, restrooms, waiting areas, break rooms, conference rooms, and common areas.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect floors and surfaces.
  • Empty trash and biohazard waste containers according to safety protocols.
  • Restock paper products, soap, sanitizer stations, and cleaning supplies.
  • Clean windows, doors, furniture, and high-touch surfaces.
  • Report sanitation concerns.
  • Perform routine facility inspections.
  • Complete minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and assembling furniture.
  • Assist with room setup and breakdown for meetings.
  • Move furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Support inventory management of facility supplies.
  • Coordinate with vendors as directed.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and hazards promptly.
  • Follow OSHA and infection control guidelines.
  • Utilize appropriate PPE.
  • Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
  • Keep exits and emergency equipment accessible.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness activities.
