Housekeeping/EVS Tech - Chula Vista
About The Position
This full-time position is based at the Scripps Mercy campus in Chula Vista and works 64 hours every two weeks. The schedule varies, including weekends, and the start time depends on departmental needs. The housekeeping team supports environmental care through cleaning patient and non-patient areas, linen service, waste removal, sharps container removal, meeting and event setup and breakdown, and infection control and sanitation. Team members use technical, interpersonal, and critical-thinking skills under the guidance and support of a supervisor. They follow established policies and practices to comply with the Joint Commission, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements, and work in a manner that reflects the organization’s mission, philosophy, and goals.
Requirements
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality.
- Extensive customer service experience and a desire to provide the highest quality of service.
Responsibilities
- Clean patient care areas.
- Clean non-patient care areas.
- Provide linen service.
- Remove waste and sharps containers.
- Set up and break down meetings and events.
- Perform infection control and sanitation tasks.
