About The Position

This full-time position is located at the Scripps Mercy campus in Chula Vista and is scheduled for 64 hours every two weeks. The employee must be available for the day shift, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and a varied schedule that includes weekends.

The housekeeping team supports environmental care through cleaning patient-care and non-patient-care areas, linen service, waste and sharps-container removal, meeting and event setup and breakdown, and infection control and sanitation. The work uses technical, interpersonal, and critical-thinking skills and is performed under the guidance and support of a supervisor. The employee follows established policies and practices to comply with the Joint Commission, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements, and demonstrates a work style reflecting the organization’s mission, philosophy, and goals.

Requirements

• Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of housekeeping experience in healthcare or hospitality.
• Extensive customer service experience and a desire to provide the highest quality of service.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient-care areas.
