About The Position

This full-time position is based at Scripps Mercy Campus in Hillcrest, San Diego, and works 64 hours every two weeks. The role supports environmental care by cleaning patient-care and non-patient-care areas, providing linen service, removing waste and sharps containers, setting up and breaking down meetings and events, and carrying out infection-control and sanitation practices. Work is performed using technical, interpersonal, and critical-thinking skills under the guidance and support of a supervisor. The employee follows established policies and practices to comply with the Joint Commission, Title XXII, and other applicable regulatory requirements, and demonstrates a work style that reflects the organization’s mission, philosophy, and goals. The employee must be available for day shifts, including 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., and a varied schedule that includes weekends.

Requirements

Ability to speak, read, and write English.
Availability to work day shifts, including 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Availability to work a varied schedule including weekends.

Nice To Haves

Six months of housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality.
Extensive customer service experience and a desire to provide the highest quality of service.
