About The Position

The EVS Tech performs housekeeping and environmental services at Pampa Regional Medical Center and adjacent buildings in Pampa, Texas. This per diem position has variable hours and shifts. The role supports infection prevention by cleaning and disinfecting hospital spaces, safely handling waste, replenishing supplies, maintaining surfaces and floors, and responding to urgent cleaning needs. Travel between facilities may be required independently.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, understand, and communicate effectively.

Nice To Haves

• One year of knowledge of environmental service techniques, practices, and procedures in an acute care hospital.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to help prevent the spread of infections.
• Dispose of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols.
• Restock gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in hospital areas.
• Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and other surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals.
• Respond to urgent cleaning needs, including spills and contamination incidents, and communicate promptly using phones, handheld radios, pagers, or other devices.
• Maintain cleanliness in the hospital and adjacent buildings, traveling independently between facilities when required.
