About The Position
Bakersfield Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, located in Bakersfield, California, is an acute psychiatric and behavioral 90 bed facility situated on 8.8 acres. We offer inpatient and outpatient services for children, adolescents and adults needing mental/behavioral health, chemical dependency; and co-occurring disorders treatment through our medically supervised detoxification. Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous experience as a janitor or housekeeper in a hospital or other large facility is preferred.
- At least three (3) years of experience as a janitor or housekeeper in a healthcare or similar setting is ideal.
- Strong cleaning safety skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines surrounding a very schedule.
- Ability to adjust in the moment to achieve desired results.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions regarding chemicals, cleaning devices, and standard operating procedures.
- Substantial amount of knowledge using commercial cleaning equipment will be of benefit.
- Current CPR certification or obtain certification prior to your start date.
- Complete a "Handle-With-Care" Physical Restraint Technique Training during orientation.
