About The Position

The Housekeeping/Custodial Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the building, including restrooms, the selling floor, office spaces, and other common areas. The role involves cleaning and maintaining floors and carpets, handling trash and recycling, and keeping cafeteria and restroom areas clean and supplied. Associates are expected to present a courteous and professional demeanor to customers and coworkers.

Requirements

• A resourceful self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Ability to lift moderately, up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for required periods of time.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers to handle objects and operate tools and/or controls.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Present a courteous and professional demeanor to customers and coworkers.
• Dust the selling floor, both high and low.
• Maintain carpets and tile floors using commercial-grade equipment.
• Sweep and collect trash and recyclable material.
• Pick up trash from registers and offices.
• Dust mop and wet mop floors, and vacuum rugs.
• Wipe down cafeteria tables, empty trash cans, and dry or wet mop floors.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock restroom supplies, and empty restroom trash cans.
