About The Position

Join the Liberty Center YMCA in Box Elder, South Dakota, as a member of the team supporting youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This role helps maintain clean and safe facilities so members and visitors experience a welcoming, hygienic environment. The position performs day-to-day custodial work under supervisor guidance, including distributing towels, monitoring locker rooms, and promptly reporting maintenance issues. It also requires compliance with YMCA and OSHA safety policies and practices, care of equipment and supplies to minimize replacement costs, and accurate, efficient completion of assigned projects. Building positive relationships with volunteers, members, and staff is important to maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment. Weekday and weekend shifts are available.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Six months or more of related experience.
Basic proficiency in reading and using electronic devices.
Obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people.
Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and safety of YMCA facilities.

Complete assigned projects accurately and efficiently.
Perform day-to-day custodial tasks under supervisor guidance.
